I believe strongly in the principles of servant leadership and appreciative inquiry. We are best able to lead when we focus on what is right and how we increase its occurrence. In order to be a servant leader, one needs the following qualities: listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, growth and building community.
Our assignments and outcomes depend greatly on the relationships we build with our colleagues; developing and nurturing trust and being true to our words through actions is critical.
Make thoughtful decisions, no matter the timeframe you have. When you reach a decision or take action, know how and why you arrived at that decision.
